Dany Bahar – ARES

ARES Automotive Atelier badge,. Ares was founded by Dany Bahar.

ARES is an exclusive luxury automotive atelier offering the ultimate in bespoke design and engineering. Founded by Dany Bahar and based in Modena, Italy, ARES produces cars that are 100% unique, handcrafted and customised to clients’ specifications. ARES is the only automotive atelier in the world with their own dedicated design, development and production facility, and network of global studios ensuring the best possible service in the growing market for personalisation.

ARES boasts a team of renowned designers and engineers and advisors with significant experience from the world’s leading sports and luxury car marques, including Lotus, Mercedes-AMG, Ferrari, Pagani, Lamborghini and McLaren.

ARES’s strength over automotive in-house personalisation teams, and myriad smaller tuning and bodywork businesses in mature car markets, is its independence, global network, and dedicated facility in Italy. This unique combination has seen significant investment from a network of passionate investors and opens up a much wider market to customers, enabling ARES to respond to requests for sports cars, SUVs and saloons across all the top marques. Its location in the Italian supercar heartland also means access to some of the world’s most experienced and specialist automotive engineers and designers.

Central to the ARES offer is the emphasis on client involvement. Whether it’s newly designed carbon-fibre bodywork, an interior upgraded with the finest Italian leather or a finely optimised engine, the client is always at the heart of the process. And where a client and their car is particular to a local market, ARES also has the unique capability of design and production in-market to ensure the car’s authenticity is maintained: but all cars pass through the new ARES facility in Modena to ensure final sign-off is to global standards and quality.

ARES has delivered nearly 250 projects since 2014 on cars including: custom versions of the Land Rover Defender, Mercedes S and G-Class, Aston Martin Rapide and Rapide S, Lamborghini Huracán, Bentley Continental GT, Rolls-Royce Wraith, and the Land Rover Range Rover. The next vehicles currently under development include a modern iteration of the De Tomaso Pantera, Bentley Mulsanne, and, in a move that reflects the growth of bespoke on two wheels, a bespoke ARES motorbike.
