Ares dresses G-Class as a monster for Halloween. This scary looking beast gets 759bhp.

The most powerful Mercedes G-Class you can buy from the factory is the V12-powered G65 AMG, which delivers 621bhp and is able to sprint to 60mph in just 5.1sec. But Ares Design, a Modena-based coachbuilder founded by former Lotus CEO Dany Bahar in 2015, isn’t content with anything less than 700, it seems.

The company today released its new X-Raid – essentially a 759bhp coachbuilt G-Class with a dramatic new body. Based on the Mercedes-AMG G63, the Ares X-Raid uses the same AMG-sourced 5.5-litre V8, but in this case it has been tuned to produce more power, with a limited top speed of 155mph.

The G-Class kept its shape quite intact throughout the decades but a little change is more than welcome every now and then. Now, what Ares did was take the G-Class and offer an in-and-out makeover.

De Tomaso.

ARES Design Project Panther : Bukan Rajanya Diesel!

Italian coachbuilder ARES Design took the wraps off its most ambitious model recently, codenamed “Project Panther,” a modern interpretation of the classic De Tomaso Pantera but based on a Lamborghini Huracan instead of a V8 Ford.

ARES, which was founded by former Lotus CEO Dany Bahar, hopes to have its “bespoke creations” department begin turning out examples of the supercar in summer 2018.

The car will be built around the Huracan’s lightweight aluminum and carbon-fibre chassis, and be powered by its 600-horsepower mid-mounted 5.2-litre V10 engine, though we expect the company will offer customers more power if requested.

The Lambo’s dual-clutch and all-wheel-drive carries over, too.
